About the project

My first internship was for 4 months on Baby Goat Billy, a turn-based RPG made in Unity as a generalist game designer.

My main tasks were relating to: 

  • Game design

  • UX and feedback collection

  • Practice in documentation

  • Level design basics

My contributions

As a generalist game designer, I was mentored in many areas of design. I touched on LD, GD, narrative design, system design and UX. Here are some of my contributions in document form:

Most of the work I had undertaken was previously unknown to me, allowing me to expand my capacities and talents in many different directions and was a step towards making me more complete as a designer.

Unfortunately, many of my ideas were not integrated due to lack of time or simply because they were not all that good. However,
I was able to grow from the experience and develop my soft skills. Notably, the ability to "kill my babies", communicate my intentions, understand other's ideas, take accountability, meet deadlines, etc.
